What exactly is rapé?
It is the sacred tobacco of the indigenous Amazonian people (Mapacho), in combination with other medicinal plants. It is taken nasally in the form of ground dust, with a small two-pipe - kuripe (independent) or ceremonially, with a large pipe - tepi. Each tribe working with rapé prepares its own mixtures, which have different effects, depending on the complementary plants. The rapé we will be working with during the Ceremony come from the Yawanawa, Hunikuin, Kuntanawa and Nukini tribes. These are tribes that have achieved mastery in working with this medicine, and it is a great privilege to be able to work with mixtures that come from them.
What will I experience?
Many of my clients know that I have been teaching and imparting knowledge about the healing power of rapé for years. Sometimes there are processes that, without the guidance of rape, simply could not take place on such a deep, healing level. Many times this medicine is uncompromising, as it calms the distracted mind, deeply integrating the feeling of the body and the feeling coming from the heart. With the Rapé Ceremony, you will get in touch with your true self and deeply feel the truth about what no longer serves you, and your body will be your greatest ally in this journey. Rapé has a unique gift for locating and releasing any unwanted energy connections, freeing blockages anchored in the body and bringing the mind to be present in the here and now.
How will we work?
Working with rapé is deep cleansing, releasing and letting go on the physical, emotional and energetic levels of what still holds you in your old patterns. During the Ceremony, you will have a deepened sensation of the body, so there may be tears, laughter, coughing and even temporary nausea or chills. However, this is all part of the healing process and, throughout the Ceremony, you will be cared for. Rapé medicine is highly grounding and it stimulates the pineal gland (and therefore, the Third Eye). Working with it activates the inner gifts of deeply seeing what is happening beyond the senses. As humans, we are often caught up in connections we are not aware of.
